We have been learning about: Magnetism and Gravity which are very powerful forces. Did you know that the iron in breakfast cereal is the same iron that is attracted to magnets?! We discovered things in the Library which are magnetic and some metal items which are not magnetic, like keys. The Earth's magnetic field protects us from solar flares. In zero gravity you just float around so you need Velcro to help you stand still. In space, you cannot spit out your toothpaste, you have to swallow it! The water on the space station is always recycled. When you wring out a washer in space, the water doesn't drop to the floor. It forms a tube around the washer and your hands. When you cry in zero gravity, the tears stay on your eyes! When you sleep in zero gravity, you have to be strapped into your sleeping bag so you don't float away!
