This term we learned about Gravity. It is the most powerful force in the universe. When a rocket goes up into space, it needs a lot of power and fuel to break through the Earth's gravity. The moon's gravity controls the ocean's tides on Earth. On the Space Station, Velcro is used to stop things floating away. Water on the space station is recycled. A footprint on the moon will stay there forever because there is no wind or water to wash it away. In space you are weightless. Magnetism Opposite poles attract and the same poles repel each other. A compass will always point to North because it aligns itself to the Earth's magnetic North Pole. Magnets can ruin devices such as watches and iPads and phones. Magnets can work through a table. Not all metal objects are magnetic, such as keys. The iron in breakfast cereals is the same iron that is magnetic!
